Kiwassa is looking for volunteer support in many areas of our programming. Our volunteers work with children, youth, seniors and neighbours of all ages. Our volunteers prepare meals in the kitchen, provide tutoring support, support newcomers with interpretation, chat with neighbours at our community events, and help keep things organized behind the scenes. We have volunteers supporting in diverse community programs like crafts, dance, foodbank, summer camp, daycare and English as a Second Language classes.

We also offer ongoing training for our volunteers, and an opportunity to develop your leadership, facilitation and community engagement skills.  Our Organization is always looking for volunteers to help with our community programs. To customize our application process, we are updating our online Volunteer Form. Until the new Form is ready, you can only apply in person at Kiwassa Neighborhood House.

If you have questions regarding our volunteer programs or would like to apply to become an official volunteer, please visit our place and ask for our Volunteer Coordinator at the Front Desk. We will be happy to assist you with the application process!

I volunteer because I like helping others, it gives me the opportunity to meet new people, make friends and better understand our community.
