2026/2027 Enrolment Update:

We are currently beginning our callout for internal families for the 2026/2027 year. We will begin our waitlist/external family callout in April 2026, for September enrolment.

Our waitlists are extremely long, and priority for these spaces goes to siblings of children in our existing programs. If you are an external applicant who as applied for our waitlist, we will begin reaching out to families in April of 2026. We aim to have spaces confirmed by May 2026. If you have not heard back from us by end of May, then most likely our spaces have been filled for the September 2026 year.

Our out-of-school care spaces are even more limited than early years, and most of our internal children will move into these spaces, please aim to make alternative arrangements if you are on our waitlist for out-of-school care. We serve both Hastings Elementary and Tillicum Community Annex.

For more than 30 years, Kiwassa has been providing nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate childcare programs that help children progress in their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Our programs support children’s natural sense of curiosity, knowledge and confidence. Our staff are trained Early Childhood Educators, and are committed to providing inclusive and diverse programming, with a focus on meeting the specific needs and interests of each individual child, and engaging in a responsive curriculum.

Our programs are licensed under the Community Care and Assisted Living Act and comply with the Provincial Child Care Licensing Regulations. Our Early Years Program are provincially funded $10aDay programs, capping fees at $200 per month. We have been approved for the provincial Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative which reduces fees for school-aged children based on age. Assistance with the Affordable Child Care Benefit application for eligible families is available at each centre.
