Bio
Dexter is a real estate strategist and funding specialist at Musqueam Capital Corporation, the economic development arm of the Musqueam Indian Band. He leverages his expertise to advance Indigenous economic growth and develops thoughtful funding strategies to meet community housing needs. As an Accredited Appraiser with the Appraisal Institute of Canada, Dexter is a designated expert in real estate valuation. A first-generation immigrant from China, he actively volunteers at different organizations to advocate for policies for vulnerable groups and mentor other newcomers navigating their career paths. He enjoyed giving back the support and kindness he received when he first arrived in Vancouver. Besides his professional and volunteer commitments, he is a father to a 3-year-old son and an avid practitioner of Kendo (a Japanese Martial Art).
