Bio
Alexandra Skinner is a seasoned communications professional with a deep connection to Vancouver and a long-standing commitment to community. Born and raised in the city, she’s seen Vancouver change over the past three decades and brings that perspective to her role as Board Chair and President of Kiwassa Neighbourhood House.
Alexandra works in media and government relations at WorkSafeBC and has held senior roles at BC Housing and the BC Chamber of Commerce. She is a past president of the Canadian Public Relations Society Vancouver chapter and brings broad experience in strategic communications, public engagement, and issues management.
Drawing from her own family’s diverse lived experiences, Alexandra approaches her work with openness and a genuine commitment to fostering inclusive communities. She believes it’s this vibrant, friendly spirit that makes Hastings-Sunrise one of Vancouver’s true hidden gems.
