Our after school and school break programs for children 5-9 are designed to foster fun and adventure, and help build skills, confidence, and relationships, all in a supported and caring environment. Our creative and educational activities include sports, art, cooking, science, theatre, dance, yoga, and more!

The Spring 2020 program runs from April 6 – May 29, 2020. Our program does not operate on holidays or Pro-D days. 

MondaysMindful Games Mondays – A mix of sports and recreational play as well as mindful games and activities that teach social and emotional learning competencies
TuesdaysArts Umbrella Theatre – Professional facilitators from ArtsUmbrella offer up engaging theatre and improv games
WednesdaysArtistic Flair – a mix of guided and independent arts and crafts time or Yoga Buggy – guided mindfulness, breathing, and yoga games
ThursdaysArts Umbrella Dance – Professional facilitators teach interpretive dance with a fun and modern twist or Mini Chefs – Kiwassa Food Program staff lead engaging cooking classes centred on skill building, healthy eating, and cultural connections
FridaysPlay it Fair Fridays – A mix of sports and recreational play as well as mindful games and activities that teach social and emotional learning competencies

Children's After School Programs

Ages 5-8

Our children’s after school programs include a daily snack and a Walking School Bus from Hastings and Tillicum Elementary Schools. Programs and activities offered vary by day.

$60 for each 8 week program. Snack Included.

Registration is required

3:00 pm- 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Three Terms (8 weeks each), Fall, Winter, Spring.

Drop-In Preteen Program

Ages 9-12

Our preteen and youth drop-in program (ages 9-18) includes a daily snack and a variety of activities including homework support, gaming, crafts, and more. Registration for this program is not required.

We do not offer walking school bus services for the pre-teen drop-in program. Students must make their own way to Kiwassa from whatever school they are coming from.

The Childrens and Preteens Winter Term Term runs from January 13 – March 6 2020.
Please note that we do not run programming on Statutory Holidays or Professional Development Days.

Children`s Programs are $60/each program day and Preteens are $7 per day.
