A representative from the BC Epilepsy Society will be joining us to shed some light on Epilepsy, a condition that causes recurring seizures and affects many people in our community. About 1 in 12 people will have a seizure in their lifetime, and we would love to provide you with insight into this condition. This will be an interactive session where we’ll learn how to recognize the different seizure types, learn first aid and safety considerations, as well as how this condition plays a part in the lives of those affected.

We will be offering childminding and light snacks

Over the past year, we have had tremendous support from our liaison nurse from Vancouver Coastal Health’s Paediatric Team. We were also fortunate enough to receive financial support from the City of Vancouver through a Childcare Policy Development and Innovation grant.
