Men’s Wellness Fair

Community Resources  |  Speakers  |  Performers  |  Lunch  |  Prizes  |  Child-friendly

Come learn about a diverse range of programs that support mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health. We acknowledge the vast array of ways that humans can identify as men and intend to create a space that is inclusive and safe for trans, non-binary and queer identities. This project is meant to connect people that identify as men to support services that benefit them; however, it is worth mentioning that in doing this work we are motivated by both the concern we have for men’s health and a broader commitment to the health and wellbeing of our communities and families. From this position, we want to respond to a need in our communities by bringing together agencies that nurture the wellbeing of the community via the avenue of men’s health.

This event includes lunch, introductions from the supporting organizations, opportunity to learn more about their work and engage in conversations, a light movement activity, live music and a speaker. This event is open to everyone and is kid friendly.

This event takes place on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.

Mt. Pleasant Neighbourhood House is a wheel-chair accessible space. The event takes place on the main floor with gender inclusive washrooms right outside of the main hall. Due to limitations in our budget and scale of this event we do not have the ability to provide ASL interpretation at this time.
