Celebrating Black History and African Heritage

Today kicks off Black History and African Heritage Month. In February, we celebrate the incredible achievements and strength of Black communities and people of African descent, guided by this year’s theme: “Black Excellence: A Heritage to Celebrate; a Future to Build.” It honours the rich past and present contributions while looking forward to new opportunities.

Together, we’re dedicated to fostering a welcoming community that values diversity and promotes inclusion. Let’s overcome discrimination and oppression, working to build a fairer and more inclusive place for everyone. We invite all Canadians to learn more about the impactful role of Black Canadian communities in shaping our country.
